Today we saw the Nortre Dame Cathedral which was founded in 1160 by Maurice de Sully, bishop of Paris.  Napoleon was crowned emperor here in 1804.  By the 19th century, it had fallen into disrepair and was scheduled for demolition until author Victor Hugo led a successful campaign for its restoration with the book Huntchback of Notre Dame.
